April 19th of 1993 a man named Vernon Howell caused disaster to strike. He was known as David Koresh to his followers, the Davidians, who formed a cult with him as the leader. Koresh was a high school dropout who sometimes claimed he was the second coming of Jesus. It started by a search made by AFT because it was thought the Davidians were holding people hostage. They opposed this search and wouldn't let them in, creating a 51 day stand-off lasting from February 28th to April 19th. Early in the stand off, Koresh told the FBI he would surrender soon but didn't. He believed that a fiery confrontation with law enforcements would signal the end of the world. The FBI assaulted the building on April 19th. They sprayed tear gas on and off for several hours. Just after noon, the building was set fire by the cult members on Koresh's orders unexpectedly.Part 1
